David Willems, Head of Business Development for UMS SKELDAR
is conducting a number of important meetings and briefings at one of the world’s most important and influential oil and gas industry events, Abu Dhabi’s International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC). With over 110,000 attendees, the event includes market leading innovations such as unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platforms like the SKELDAR V-200.
On show for the first time at this event will be a model of the new SKELDAR V-200. Following major contract wins including the German Navy, the heavy-fuel SKELDAR V-200 boasts features including extended endurance of more than five hours at maximum payload capacity, a new engine management system and wider payload capabilities. Incorporating design modifications and an improved 2-stroke engine configuration, the V-200 provides significantly unmatched time between overhauls (TBO), all of which are significant advantages for customers in the utilities and infrastructure sectors.
David Willems explains:
“The energy industries are in need of innovations such as UAVs to monitor their critical infrastructure in what are often remote areas across the globe. With platforms like our SKELDAR V-200, we are able to monitor these assets for many hours at a time, day and night, without putting people at risk, all the while mining critical data for energy organisations to use for future strategies and planning.”
With 15 dedicated exhibition halls, ADIPEC brings together the decision and policy makers that shape the future of the oil and gas supply chain. This year also sees the launch of three new dedicated exhibition zones, covering digitalisation in the energy sector, heavy machinery and the commercial dive zone, hence proving to be the convening force behind tomorrow’s oil and gas partnerships.
